Max Bruch Piano Quintet

Created in 2014 within the Music Conservatory of the Balearic Islands, the Max Bruch Piano Quintet is constituted by violinists Llúcia Barrero and Ariadna Ferrer, violist Carlos Sola, cellist Jorge Solano and pianist Laura Pérez. The ensemble worked under the tutelage of Professor Enrique Bernaldo de Quirós, having also received master classes from renowned musicians such as Peter Frankl, Götz Teutsch, Emmanuel Bleuse or Amparo Lacruz. Despite their brief career, the ensemble has already been recognized with several awards such as the Third Prize at the National Competition XX Arjau Barcelona or the First Prize in the II Competition of Chamber Music at the Conservatory of the Balearic Islands. The quintet has performed in numerous concert halls, among which the Teatre Principal in Palma and the Auditorium CosmoCaixa in Barcelona. They have participated in important cycles, such as the II Youth Festival of the Concert Society of Palma de Mallorca. Max Bruch Piano Quintet plays an important task of recovery unusual repertoire written for this linueup, like the Quintet in F minor by O Respighi or the Quintet in G minor by Max Bruch which also gives its name to the group.
