Milton Rodríguez Project

Milton Rodríguez is a guitarist which has been active for more than ten years. He played in some of the best jazz festivals in Spain, such as Heineken Jazzaldia or the International Festival of Jazz in Madrid. He also played in several clubs in different Spanish cities, as Café Central, Café Berlín, Altxerri Jazz Club, Clarence Jazz Club, Haceria or Plaza Jazz Club.

In 2015 he got his degree in the specialization of guitar-jazz in Musikene (Basque Country). Later, he moved to Groningen (Netherlands) with the purpose of taking his master. During that time, he studied about Brazilian rhythms applied to a jazzy context, and had the chance of moving temporarily to New York, where he studied with internationally famous musicians such as Chico Pinheiro, Rogerio Boccato and Yotam Silberstein.

In addition, during his time in New York, he learned from musicians such as Gilad Hekselman, Lage Lund, Ari Hoening or Peter Berstein, among others. It was in that city where he presented his project in different clubs such as Silvana, Shrine, or Shapeshifter Lab.

Once he finished his master’s degree, Milton Rodríguez moved to Palma, where he has offered his new musical project with a repertoire which establishes a bridge between jazz and Brazilian music.
