Vaquer is a Majorcan band created in the year 2012 by J. Vaquer (Poe, White Bear, Misery Strings), X. Moya (The Devil in the Eye) and D. Albero Santacreu. Later on, A. Benito (Seven Seeds) and T. Verd (Los Crudos, Aucell Cantaire) joined the band, configuring their current line up. The music of Vaquer moves between the concepts of past and modernity, light and darkness, creating a link between the memories of long ago and the bewilderment of urban life, chaotic and in constant movement, as a reflection of the present moment. Vaquer is, therefore, an eclectic group where the sounds of different landscapes and musical styles converge, with references such as Beirut, Fleet Foxes, Nick Cave, Radiohead, PJ Harvey, Jacques Brel and Dominique A, among others. The songs of Vaquer have symbolic lyrics inside atmospheres that oscillate between several shades of rock and folk.
