Amparo Sard

  • (02/08/1973)

Multidisciplinary artist who began his work perforating, in an obsessive way, the roles to reflect on the contemporary identity of the individual. Today, in a historical moment that presents us above all ambiguity in visual perception and new technologies, Amparo Sard continues to work under a permanent search for the sensitive and the sinister, and presents it as an option to be able to separate the certain and the uncertain. Both her intimate roles, as well as her large-format sculptures, videos or resins, present us with a contemporary society, where even though we are freer than ever, we are also more impotent than at any other moment in history.  In his latest works, the anguish of the unpleasant experience of not being able to change anything in the face of an increasingly unjust social reality remains present.
