Benejam was born as a musical trio with the will to grow, in which Cris Juanico's new musical proposals will be experimented with, as if it were a musical laboratory. New melodies, new lyrics, but also new sounds and new interpretations of songs already known to Cris, with the lively rhythms of Pere Moll on drums and the sharp guitar notes of Quim Ribó. Pure trio!
Although not entirely certain, the meaning of the Benejam lineage is 'son of Jam' or 'son of Jamma', and Jamma was the name of the old Menorcan capital in the Carthaginian era, the city we now know as Ciudadela. This is where this rock formation comes from, proposing a repertoire based on songs that the veteran Menorcan musician has performed over 25 years of musical career and more than 20 albums, including pieces from Ja t'ho diré and his time alone, as well as some new songs. Rock in its purest form!
