Carles Grimalt

  • (Manacor, 1971)
  • Genre: Rock

After several years since the release of his previous work Camaleón emocional, Carles Grimalt returns to the music scene with a new album titled Pacífico Atlántico.

An album full of guitar energy and nods to the sea language, where Grimalt proposes a trip on the high seas. Accordion sounds that combine perfectly with trumpets and trombones with background distortions. Sound storms and electric calm in each of the songs of his new album in which the artist is redirecting to live with tremendous sincerity.

An album that breaks with his previous line of work more "pop" and seeks a cruder sound and rock. Recorded between the Mallorcan studios of Hell's Kitchen, La caja del ruido and the Casa de la Primavera by Grimalt himself, who has also coordinated the artistic production, we find nine songs that interiorise the search for inner peace.

In the recording he has had the collaboration of Ángel Rios (Anegats, Manfel) on drums, Antoni Bauçà on guitars, Juan Muñoz on bass, Jaume Cerdà (Dinamo, U Jazz Quartet) on trumpet, Miki Rotger on sax or the Manacorines Lau Puig on trombone and Carme Gibanel as the main voice on the song "Ella&ella".
