José Manuel Álvarez Losada (violin) After winning important prizes in the International Joaquín Rodrigo (Madrid, 2004), Primer Palau (Barcelona, 2006) and XLI Curso Internacional de Música en Compostela (Santiago, 1998) competitions, among others, he began his intense artistic activity that led him to perform in the main auditoriums of Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Holland, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, Dominican Republic and Switzerland. As a solo artist, he performs with various orchestras, with special relevance the concerts he performs with the Spanish Radio Television Orchestra, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Galicia and with the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands. As a chamber musician, he is a founding member of the string quartet Música en Compostela, together with A. León Ara, Enrique Santiago and Pedro Corostola. He has been a member of the Joaquín Rodrigo Chamber Orchestra, the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and the Galician Symphony Orchestra. Born in Ourense, his main teachers are Gaiané Pogossova (Oviedo), Agustín León Ara (Barcelona) and Maighread McCrann (Vienna). He finished his studies with the Extraordinary Prize of the Conservatoire of Ourense (Violin), the Extraordinary Final Prize of the Conservatoire of Barcelona (specialising in Violin and Chamber Music) and Postgraduate with final qualification of Honour by the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Graz (Austria). He currently combines his artistic activity with teaching at the Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands, where he is Professor of Violin.

Pedro Mateo (guitar) Born in Ávila in 1983. He studied guitar at the conservatories of Madrid, Salamanca, Weimar and Cologne. He studied Konzertexam at the prestigious Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf in the class of Prof. Joaquín Clerch, finishing with Cum Laude, Ricardo Gallén and Eliot Fisk at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria. He won first prizes in the Boston Guitar Fest competitions (2009), 66th Call for the Permanent Contest of Young Performers, VII International Guitar Competition Ciudad de Coria, V International Guitar Competition Ciudad de Torrent, II International Guitar Competition José Tomás-Villa de Petrer, XII Guitar Competition Francesc Tarrega de Villareal, III Miami´s international Competition in USA and VI Anna Amalia Wettbewerb für junge Gitarristen in Weimar (Germany). She performs in important international music festivals: Boston, Miami, Slovenia, Croatia, Vietnam, Weimar, Jerusalem, Cuba and Madrid. He performs as a soloist with orchestras such as ORTVE or the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, with conductors such as Adrian Leaper, Alejandro Posadas or Leo Brouwer and has made recordings for TVE, RNE, Radio Clásica de Slovenia and Deutschland Radio Berlin (Germany). He currently teaches Guitar at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears.
