Emili Manzano

He is a journalist, television producer and writer. He graduated in Hispanic Philology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

He has worked in Diario de Mallorca, La Vanguardia, ABC, El País. He presented two television programmes dedicated to literature: Saló de lectura, from 2001 to 2006, on Barcelona TV, and L'hora del lector, on Canal 33 of Televisió de Catalunya, from 2007 to 2011. In 2012, he presented the series Con filosofia, by Canal 33.

In 2006, he was director of the Institut Ramon Llull, dedicated to the promotion of Catalan culture.

He has published the novel Pinyols d'aubercoc (L'Avenç) and the translations Mira a lo lejos (RBA) by the French Alain Badiou and La educación de la libertad (Arcadia / Atmarcadia) by Marc Fumaroli.

He currently directs the production company Pickwick Films, with which he premiered in 2015 the documentary El dia de la sípia, chronicle of a day in Paris with the writer Enrique Vila-Matas and the artist Miquel Barceló.
