Gabriel Janer Manila (Algaida, 1940) holds a degree in Humanities, and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Barcelona. He is professor of Anthropology of Education at the University of the Balearic Islands and writer. In 1967 he made his presence known with his first novel, L’abisme (The abyss). From then on, his narrative work has remained constant over time, with more than 20 titles. He has also written essays and narrative for children and young adults.
