He is a writer and teaches literature. He has written several essays on tourism, globalization and climate change, such as On brilla el sol.Turisme a Balears abans del boom (2004), Exportando paraísos. La colonización turística del planeta (2006) and Do not Disturb Barceló.Viaje a las entrañas de un imperio turístico (2009). 

His first novel, Crui. Els portadors de la torxa (Edicions Aïllades, 2017), received the XLVI Crexells Award (2017). 

Between 1999 and 2003, he was a deputy in the Parlament de les Illes Balears. He represented Els Verds (the Ecologist party) for Ibiza. He is a member of the ALBA SUD research team.
