Joan Mas i Vives (Maria de la Salut, Mallorca, 1951), professor of literature at the University of the Balearic Islands, has carried out extensive activity as a cultural historian, literary critic, biographer and head of critical editions. This has led him to often stand up to history, interpret it and narrate it. In 2008, he published his first novel, Com una vella cançó.
