K12 was born in 2019 with the aim of creating modern music with a solid framework and exploring the sound and interplay of the trio. Formed by Gori Matas (piano and compositions), Marko Lohikari (double bass) and Teo Salvà (drums), the group recorded its first work in 2019, entitled First Route To K12; it was followed by Two Years in K12 (2021), winner of the City of Palma Bonet de Sant Pere Music Award, and the new work about to be released, "Ten Near Planets". Since its birth, K12 has performed in Fira B!, La Casa del Pueblo del Pilar de la Muela (Formentera) and in the Jazz Cycle of the Palma Auditorium, among others.
