Originally from Maó (Menorca), Kiev Portella is developing a solid concert career in Spain, Italy and England. In his first CD Llevat, recorded in Basel (Switzerland), he performs works by Brahms, Ravel and Debussy. Kiev Portella holds a degree in piano and chamber music.

He has also performed with the Chamber Orchestra "Gonçal Comelles", the Orchestra "Soloists of Mallorca", the Island of Menorca Chamber Orchestra (OCIM), the Orchestra of the University Rovira i Virgili URV. the Mahon Conservatory Orchestra, Camera Musicae Orchestra, Philharmonic of the Athenaeum Group Mahon, Cum Iubilo Orchestra of Tarragona ... and shared the stage with directors like Philippe Bender, Salvador Brotons, Tomàs Grau, Xavier Puig, Barry Sargent, among others... As a complete artist he combines his performances as a soloist along with chamber music regularly working with Liverpool String Quartet.

He is founding member of the foundation "Frederic Mompou".
During 2008 and 2013 he premiered works by composers M. Farias (Chile) and Zhigong Wei (Shanghai), awarded at the International Composition Competition Frederic Mompou.
