L'Équilibriste

Since 2007, L'Équilibriste has been performing on stage with numerous performances in Mallorca and reaching cities such as Reus and Barcelona. The group is currently made up of Joan Toni Fuster (lead vocals, guitars, banjo, etc.), Albert Riutort (guitars, choirs, banjo, etc.), Alberto Feo (keyboards, accordion and choirs), Joan Jaume (bass, percussions and choirs) and Víctor Granados (drums, percussions and Glockenspiel).

Although it is true that in his early albums with Què en saps tu, de bicicletes i parafangos? (Flor y Nata Records, 2009) had a marked influence of the rock of "porch" and more guitarrero, the passage of time and the edition of the later works -Que sea la última vez que te veo con una silla volando and Ningú no sospitarà que sempre són les set, both in 2011 with production and editing by the group itself - brought their music closer to American folk lands, synthesizing in the style of the group new sounds and new instruments that complete the mix with the most direct and acoustic rock and even with some touch of electronics.

Thus, in the songs of these two works, the new influences and ways of doing things that crystallize in his penultimate work, Pluja-Trànsit-Semàfors, are already beginning to be recognized. Guitars, basses, keyboards and drums are naturally complemented with ukuleles, banjos, horns, carillones, harmonios or electronic percussions; a "non-stop" of instruments that complement a music full of nuances, precise and, at the same time, passionate. The songs, all composed by Joan Toni Fuster and arranged by the entire group, propose a journey around everyday themes such as maturity, love, loss or the independence of intimate life as a great treasure. The lyrics are close, committed, sometimes overflowing with fantasy, direct and sincere.

The image evoked by the title of the album is, to a certain extent, a sort of instruction manual on how to listen to the songs: sheltered from the street, in the car or at home while it rains, playing the ten songs without interruption, listening to them with tranquillity, almost savouring them.
