Linhart

His career can be summarized by a sentence that some one used to define his work: “The dark line”. He liked the idea.

Linhart is one of the most consistent, personal and interesting authors of the Balearic Islands, both as a comic author and as an illustrator. He likes to create stories of a dark nature (the dark line we were talking about) and complex and unsettling atmospheres. As an illustrator, he carefully works the stories, which are both tender and tough, with deep and lonely characters and with a drawing style that is simple but well-crafted at the same time. His work has a remarkable beauty and a disturbing lyricism.
