Maria Antònia Oliver

From a very early age she had already felt attracted to literature, first as a reader and incipient poet, and later writing her own narrative work. When she published her first novel, Cròniques d'un mig estiu, she was only 23 years old, but a writer as well known as Llorenç Villalonga already claimed that this very young author would go very far. Indeed, since that October 1970, within the world of Catalan literature, Maria-Antònia Oliver has become a prestigious author and, through the translations of some of her works, she has reached a large number of readers in both Europe and the United States.
