My videocamera was my eye during a long period of time, it was the input of the external world. The output had to be the result of a processed concept. I spent a lot of time shooting experimental cinema. Based on the idea that technology has the capability of expanding a great multiplicity of cognitive processes and that mind is a muscle, I decided to submit my mind to the way computers and internet work.

The synthesis of information in which computers work, are constant but variable numbers. MEMORY. Digital data finds itself in constant mutation, it lacks a stable essence. MEMORY. The network is very resistant because is decentralized. A distributed intelligence, each joint is intelligent. TECHNOLOGY. There’s a point of information that starts and arrives to a receiving point to create a total message which is only partial. PERCEPTION. Cyberspace is a common memory at real time. Supports are multiplied. TECHNOLOGY. The device expands. The device generates power. POWER. Body and technology. VIRTUALITY. Binary codes. Darkened. POWER. Invisible body. Artificial codes, digital. IMAGE.

My visual work is the result of this experimentation. Once there, I decide to look back, to the past, to my roots and I start with documents and archives. MEMORY. Indexing, taxonomy and classification turn into my new methodology. FUTURE MEMORY. To map territories and classify knowledge. Aby Warburg. Re-lecture and re-writing. Derrida. REPETITION. Fragility of documents. Previously historic. Foucault. The look to the continuos postmodern change. ARCHIVE. Black and white photography. MEMORY. Photography as a symbol of death. Camera Lucida. Memory, history and oblivion.
