Born in September 2012, Orquídea have managed to bring as few have the sound of Tucson, Mojave, Amargosa, or any territory struck by nature, to the flowery Mediterranean garden from which come: Mallorca (Balearic Islands).

They are real survivors. Their guitarist, Juanmi Bosch, could rewrite the chronicle of a whole epoch after thirty years dedicated to the six strings: founding member of Cerebros Exprimidos, one of the best punk / hardcore bands that this country has ever come to. If you add Ginés Fernández (drums) and JM Puigserver Púter (bass), both from a great number of bands from the independent Mallorcan scene, you get an electrifying power-trio that mixes a variety of styles in their music (being an instrumental group).

Sometimes they sound like Blue Cheer bastard grandsons, sometimes they get close to punk, then climb up onto neo-psychedelic terrain with rhythmic and hypnotic landscapes, always keeping the energy that characterizes them; to them and to any of those who have ended up making the desert a place called home.
