Pep Ramis

Pep Ramis is interpreter, choreographer and co-director of the company Mal Pelo and the centre L'Animal a l'esquena. 
Since 1989, Mal Pelo has created more than 25 shows, directed by María Muñoz and Mallorcan Pep Ramis. With the study of the body and movement, with pieces in which research into other domains is added, such as theatricality, words, music or video creation, among others, Mal Pelo is a European reference in contemporary dance. Mal Pelo won the National Prize of Catalonia in 2002 and the Premio Nacional de Danza in 2009.

Mal Pelo creates his productions and experiments in L'Animal a l'esquena, an international centre of exchange between creators and artists, located on the outskirts of the town of Celrà (Girona). In L'Animal a l'esquena, study and research on the body, in a broad sense, encourage creative exchange between creators from different disciplines.
