Tomeu Pinya

He holds a degree in Fine Arts by the University of Barcelona (2004) and a degree in Audiovisual Communication by the Pompeu Fabra University (2006), he also coursed three years at the Escola Joso in Barcelona. He began in the illustration field with drawings for storyboards and concept arts for serveral advertising companies. In 2009 he published Un pueblo blanco. El bar del barbudo , and it was followed up by La marea de San Pedro, that was quite successful. He adapted Zola’s novel Germinal to comic and in 2011 he coordinated, with Pere Mejan, the book Yes We Camp! Trazos para una (R)evolución, about the 15M movement in Spain.

He has received the Newcomer award at the Barcelona International Comic Con and for several years he has drawn comic strips for the newspaper El Mundo de Baleares, along with Carlos Jover.
