The jury must choose the 50 performances that will form part of this year's poster for the Professional Music and Performing Arts Market of the Balearic Islands.

The artistic call of Fira B! 2023 has registered a total of 880 proposals from musicians and performing arts professionals interested in presenting their work at the Professional Music and Performing Arts Market of the Balearic Islands.

Specifically, this year's artistic call received 580 proposals for music and 300 for the performing arts. The number of music proposals has almost doubled compared to last year, when a total of 312 proposals were received. In the Performing Arts, the number of proposals received last year has risen from 240 to 300 this year. This increase demonstrates the consolidation of Fira B! as a showcase for the most representative musical and performing arts creations of the Balearic Islands, as well as a meeting point to showcase national and international proposals.

The Institut d'Estudis Baleàrics closed the call for artists for Fira B! 2023 on 29 January. Now the evaluation committee has a few weeks to deliberate and choose the fifty performances that will make up the Fira B! 2023 line-up.

This year, for the first time, Fira B!'s music and performing arts programme will be held in different weeks. Thus, the performing arts programme will be from 9 to 12 October, while the music programme will take place from 2 to 5 November.
