Fira B! Pro organises twenty-one conferences, round tables and meetings for professional musicians from Balearic Islands

Comunicació Fira B!

Do you know how to make money with your music? Do you know the help you can get?

Fira B! Pro-Jornades Profesionals plans to hold twenty-one conferences, talks and meetings for professional musicians on the islands from November 11 to 14 in Palma.

The aim is to offer the entire artistic community of the Balearic Islands the opportunity to present their projects to local and foreign programmers and professionals, as well as to establish synergies and collaborations with other artists.

Fira B! Pro includes both in-person and online events, aimed at artists on the one hand, and promoters on the other. All with the aim of opening an interesting and useful space for discussion that contributes to the education of artists, and to deal with useful topics for promoters when organizing festivals.

Thus, during this year's conference, very practical and useful information for musicians will be put on the table, such as "How to sell your project and the importance of communication", "How to make money with my music", "What help can I get", "How to make the most of social networks" and "How to promote your music outside Spain", among others.

The professional music conference will kick off on Thursday November 11 at the Mar i Terra Theatre with an analysis of the current situation of musicians and creators, after the crisis caused by COVID-19.

One of the highlights will be Skygge, also known as Benoit Carré, who is at the forefront of musicians trying to unlock the creative potential of Artificial Intelligence (A.I). Under the title "Discover the world of music creation with artificial intelligence", Skygge will give a workshop followed by a performance and will show the incredible creative potential of "smart instruments" that generate new pieces of music, without ever leaving aside the identity of the artist.

Another conference accompanied by a performance will be "Artistic collaborations: creating opportunities to break into new markets", in which several cases of collaborations between local artists and international artists will be presented, allowing networking between different scenes, which offers artistic and, at the same time, promotional possibilities. This round table will be accompanied by a performance by the Israeli guitarist Yoav Eshed, who has chosen a collaborator from among all the artists programmed at Fira B!

The conference will also include meetings with agencies, managers, venue and festival representatives. There will also be quick 7-minute meetings with a selection of professionals from the Spanish industry, the United States and Canada, as well as with professionals and festival representatives from Latin America.

The face-to-face sessions will be held at the Mar y Terra Theatre, the Xesc Forteza Theatre, and the Es Baluard and Es Jonquet Museums. You can consult the programme of Fira B!
