From the exploration of the individual corporeity to the social body. It is telling us through all the oceans that separate us and the seas that unite us. To get lost in a desert and die of thirst for too much water. To give voice to the devastation of territory and the extinction of species. To narrate the collapse in order to find new structures from which to rebuild.

The author explains it this way: "In order to go as close as possible and talk about identity, community and society in Mallorca, I had to go to Kiribati, an archipelago in the antipodes, making a trip from the Mediterranean to the Pacific to find the words to gloss over defeat through an overwhelming image of devastation: that of a country that is slowly but inexorably disappearing under the waters of our excesses.
