This collection of Russian folk tales, compiled and published by Alexander Nikolaevich Afanásiev (1826-1871) in the middle of the nineteenth century, is a real treasure for lovers of this kind of literature. The literature that is done by the people anonymously, patiently, throughout centuries and mocking all kinds of borders.

This is the volume I of a total of four and it has around eighty Fairy tales. This is the first time that Violeta published her illustrations in a book and she shows us a hard work of synthesis and a great sense of humor.
