INFORMATION

The novel narrates Andreu Calafat's return to his native Menorca after fifty years in Argentina. When his mother died in dark circumstances and argued violently with his stepsister, Andreu decided to leave. When he returns home, his intention is to reconcile with his origins and especially with his half-sister Esperança, who is now an elderly disabled woman in a wheelchair but just as dominant and distrustful as before. The meeting between the two brothers will not only reopen the wounds, but will also reveal terrible secrets.
