Blai Bonet was a poet, narrator and critic. His expressive strength and a sensual and renewing language made him break with the Mallorcan literary tradition. He makes himself known through poetry, although it is his narrative side, with his first novel El mar, translated into numerous languages, that makes his work popular. In 1972 he wrote his last novel and decided to turn his narrative model around, so he began to write diaries, which became unheard of works where philosophical, theological, artistic reflection and their experiences are mixed in a masterful way.
