It is impossible for me to find any kind of logical explanation for the fact that Haceldama had to wait 45 years for its first reprint. Editorial Aymà, in Barcelona, published it in 1959. And for almost half a century Catalan novels have allowed themselves the frivolity of dispensing with a narrative piece that stands out for its integral modernity, for its insolent creativity in the use of language and for the "philosophical" density of the discourses emitted by some of the characters.
