Joan Maria Thomàs Andreu

He is a historian, professor of Contemporary History at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, an expert of international reputation on fascism, Franco' s regime and its relations with the United States. He has been a research professor at universities in the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Japan, China, Israel ... He has published articles in the media, such as the newspaper El País.

He has received the Ciutat de Barcelona History Prize (1992), the Serra d'Or Prize (1993), the Narcís Monturiol Medal for scientific and technological merit (2015), and the ICREA Academic Excellence Prize (2013), among others.
