Documentary photographer and portraitist. I have combined my work with teaching for more than twenty years. Trained as an image and sound technician, I have worked as a photojournalist in local media and published in different magazines. I understand photography as the way to interact with the environment, with people especially, on the set or in the street, in the city where I live or in any other. Through the portrait or with a documentary language, the narration is what is important, how the story is told. People are what give meaning to what I do, what makes me start a project, what makes me understand my environment and takes me on a journey in search of stories. I learn from these stories by looking through the camera.

The whole process, from loading the camera to developing and scanning, through taking and editing, shapes the way I will tell my story. I flee from the manipulation of the image, no matter if it is analog or digital. What it is or who I portray I want to show honestly, without artifice or adornment, the content above the continent.
