Pere Gomila

Geografies del vent

Geografies del vent

INFORMATION

After fifteen years of silence, the poet Pere Gomila (Alaior, 1954) published a new collection of poems. The self-taught writer has recovered his voice to reaffirm his love for the land and for language, the two axes on which his work has always revolved. Since his first book, Regió afòtica (1978), until now the literary production of Gomila, one of the most outstanding names in contemporary Menorcan poetry, has been a sin of intermittency but not of commitment. With the publication of the 57 poems that make up Geografies del vent, the essence of the author has materialised once again, of the one who is as an individual and of what he intends to be as part of the collective, and to project it through his voice.
