INFORMATION

Júlia Casas, a fiftyish-year-old writer and journalist, waits at the Palma airport for a flight to Minorca, An acquaintance of her, Fina Torres, let her know that a 91-year-old woman, Hierbaluisa, had been murdered, stabbed in the head with a puin of scissors. Júlia does not understand all that well the reason of the call, but it seems to make some sense when Fina insists in the need of her presence in Ciutadella, with the argument that she needs to know a piece of information related to her own family that undoubtedly should be of her interest. Whilst the police and the press try to find out what happened and catch the culprit, Júlia recovers her own past, that her comeback has triggered in her memory. This novel adds to the noir genre a perceptive analysis of the social conditions that surrounds the story and draws captivating characters that will grab the interest of any reader.
