Pablo Noguera is hired by Mr. and Ms. Topp to investigate the disappearance of their son, Horacio, a media celebrity a self-help guru and motivational speaker. The hypothesis of an abduction weakens as time goes by and there are no news either from Horacio or from any kidnapper. What if the youngster has escaped, fleeing from his enslaved dayly routine? What if something worse happened to him? No one either in Spain or in Britain –the youngster is an Englishman settled in Mallorca– understands how Horacio might have escaped in his situation; but then they cannot believe that anyone could have harmed him. An old relationship between Noguera and a small editor will give the former the key to trace Horacio Topp from the misery of the editorial world to the misery of the world in general. The novel will reveal itself along the narration to be different from the initial appearance of crime fiction. At the end of the trip, the reader will discover the diabolical design of the destruction of a saint.
